just this week, one of my office mates brought a bag of "mac" cosmetics at very decent prices payable in a month! everybody got excited! i never had a mac cosmetic item before so i grabbed a loose powder and lipstick. she gave me a free lip liner!
when i got home, i examined the products. for the loose powder, i realized some typo errors: space errors on the bottom label. the box didn't match the exact product as well!--funny!
the "loose powder" |
this is the box that stated "matte" |
this is the bottom label of the jar that stated "sheer". and toronto is typed: TORON TO |
the box! |
this is sort of shimmery coral shade... i cant swatch it coz i'm planning to return it |
yes, instead of a name for its color, it has a "number" |
yes, according to several make-up loving bloggers, mac does not use numbers on their pigment lines. had i known, this could have been a very obvious "no-no" signal. thanks to blogger http://beaut.ie/blog/2012/how-to-spot-identify-fake-mac-cosmetics/ for the very useful info.
and i also mentioned that my office mate gave me a freebie! here it is!
it is an "eye/lip liner pencil"... with aloe vera and vitamin e .... hehehehe |
she said that someone whose daughter who is working as a flight attendant supplied these products to her. i know she meant no harm. i am just thankful that i bought this from her so i can just return the item away (coz i'm her boss. heheheh). no, i'm not using any of these. there are much cheaper items in the department stores that are legit trusted brands. the lead contents of these fakes products could be lethal, and we'll never know.
